Atlantic Bonito (Sarda Sarda) are members of the Mackeral family and move into our waters in late July. Often confused with False Albacore, the bonito has teeth, a series of wavy lines along its upper body, and tend to be more slender. They generally feed on smaller bait fish and like to coral their prey against some form of structure. Vary erratic fighters often fooling the angler when they turn and run directly back at you creating slack in the line.
